Naween Mangi works in Khairo Dero in upper Sindh where she started the Ali Hasan Mangi Memorial Trust in 2008. In this talk she shares how the Trust learnt to respond to the needs and wants of the people in the village instead of taking a top-down approach of telling them what they needed, whether it was toilets, a clinic, houses after a flood or ways to earn money.
This talk was organised on March 24, 2025 at the Department of Paediatrics & Child Health, Women and Children Health division and was open to all. It was of particular interest to researchers who work in communities on health-seeking behaviour change.
