The Aga Khan University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education. ACCME designates this live educational activity for a maximum 88.0 credit hours of AMA PRA Category 1 credit.

Epidemiological research has become an important tool in assessing health effects in populations. This is a three-week comprehensive course on the basic principles and methods of epidemiology and biostatistics. The outcome of the course is to build the clear understanding of the basic concepts of Epidemiology and Biostatistics with a focus on the methodological aspects of the design of the epidemiological studies and interpretation of their analysed results. 

Moreover, throughout the whole course, participants will have the opportunity to work on their study proposal under the guidance of experienced faculty to come up with a first draft of a good proposal.​
