​Non-communicable Diseases Prevention and Control ​

The Aga Khan University Department of Continuing Professional Education (AKU-DCPE) is accredited by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) and the American Association of Continuing Medical Education (AACME) to provide continuing medical education. The course of Integrating Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Prevention and Control at PHC Level will generate awareness and interest about the relevance and importance of addressing NCD prevention and control strategies in the country and region for healthcare and public health professionals, policymakers, project/program managers, academicians, researchers and members of civil society organizations. This multi-disciplinary course will also add to the knowledge of our health professionals in understanding the burden of disease and its risk factors, development of locally relevant intervention programs and assess the feasibility of scaling up findings of their projects at national and regional levels in Pakistan​.
