Environmental ​and Occupational Health

The Aga Khan University Department of Continuing Professional Education (AKU-DCPE) is accredited by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) and the American Association of Continuing Medical Education (AACME) to provide continuing medical education. AACME designates this live educational activity for a maximum 32.5​ AACME Category 1 credit(s).

The course on Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) provides in-depth information in core areas of the discipline including occupational health safety, occupational hazard and disease surveillance, national and international regulations and policies governing occupational and environmental health, Climate Change and Urban Environment, indoor and outdoor air and water pollution and health effects and its monitoring methods, risk assessment and management, emergency preparedness and disaster management. 

This course has been offered since 2004 and to date 12courses have been organized for 236 participants. This course has also been offered to different organizations, on their request, in a customized manner.​​​​
