Office of Wellbeing, Employee Engagement and Belonging
Our Commitment
At the
Aga Khan University, the Office
of Wellbeing, Employee Engagement & Belonging (WEEB)
works to reflect a
more holistic, integrated approach: caring for our people's health and
wellbeing, building genuine engagement and connection across our community, and
ensuring every individual feels they belong.
We
are deeply committed to fostering an environment of wellbeing, equity,
diversity, inclusion, and belonging across all areas of our institution:
education,
health services, research, and administration. We believe every individual has
the right to equal treatment and to thrive, and we are strengthened by the
diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of our community members.
Our
work
aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,
particularly
Goal
3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender
Equality), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Advancing AKU’s mission, we are committed to:
- Supporting the physical, mental,
and emotional wellbeing of our people
- Building genuine engagement :
connection,
recognition, and a sense of shared purpose across our community
- Fostering an inclusive and dynamic
environment where employees are valued for who they are, feel they belong, and
can build successful careers
- Advocating
for fairness, equity, and inclusion at AKU and within the AKU community
