The two-year Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Education develops leadership capacity for planning, conducting and disseminating research to improve curriculum, teaching, learning and educational planning and policymaking. The graduates of this programme are expected to conduct high quality research and lead educational reforms in the context of the developing world.
The programme should be attended by Educational leaders, researchers, development practitioners, teacher educators, curriculum specialists, policy makers and experts.
Admissions are currently open for 2018-2019 cycle. The last date to submit the application is May 28, 2018. Candidates are required to apply online. 16 years of education (a master’s or an honours’ degree in education) with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale (semester system) or 65% score (annual examination system). In case of having a master’s or an honours’ degree in areas other than education, candidate must have a 1.5 year (54 credits) BEd* degree
Minimum two years teaching / research / leadership / education development experience
*candidate applying with a one-year BEd degree must take 6 deficiency courses of 18 credits at IED.
Is recognised by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
Is taught and supervised by internationally qualified PhD faculty with extensive teaching and research experience.
