Pain Management

Recognising an ever increasing burden of pain disease in the country and a paucity of trained personnel, the Department of Anaesthesiology took the initiative to start a Pain Management fellowship in 2005. Over the years, this programme has evolved into an established, highly sought-after, fellowship that provides multidisciplinary, sub-specialty level experience for the management of acute and chronic pain. The programme is designed to provide a broad exposure to pain management in a variety of circumstances so that the graduates are well trained and are able to practice independently upon completion of their training.
