Hospitalists are physicians whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalised patients. Their activities include patient care, teaching, research, and leadership related to Hospital Medicine.

This programme is specifically designed to provide trainees with an in-depth exposure to hospital-based medical care, and particularly focuses on the care of the acutely ill medical patient and on hospital systems of care.​
