Research Groups: Gene Regulation and Vaccine Development Research

Dr. Sohail A. Qureshi
Principal Investiga

My research interests are in the areas of gene regulation, epilepsy, vaccine development, and phyto-therapeutics and we have a number of currently ongoing projects all of which employ state-of-the-art molecular biology and biochemical methodologies.

CURRENT PROJECTS

  • Gene regulation in the archaeon Sulfolobus solfataricus

  • Vaccine development against HCV and HEV

  • Cancer

  • pilepsy

  • Assay development and identification of therapeutically useful phytocompounds.

FUNDING

  • HCV Vaccine Development - Higher Education Commission (2005-2008)

  • Epilepsy - University Research Council (2005-2008)
