Online Database


AKU Library is subscribing to the Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERI) resources. This is an online programme that supports capacity building in the research s​ector in developing and transitional countries, reinforcing local efforts to produce, disseminate and gain access to scholarly information and knowledge. PERI is one of the projects available through International Availability of Scientific Publication (INASP). These resources cover a wide range of disciplines i.e. health, management, HR, IT, finance, engineering and many more.

The PERI resources have been registered via Internet Protocol (IP) address. This means that AKU faculty, students and staff should access the resources via the IP address of AKU Tanzania. These resources are, therefore, only accessible using the computers on the institution's network.

African Journals Online
African Journals Online (AJOL) comprises of abstracts of over 250 African-published journals, with access to some full text online, and a document delivery service.

American Institute of Physics
American Institute of Physics (AIP) publishes 12 journals, 2 magazines, and a conference proceedings series. Their citation platform hosts over 1.5 million articles from more than 25 scholarly publishers. ​
