Bachelor of Studies in Arts and Sciences
The Bachelor of Studies in Arts and Sciences is structured as a four-year academic journey that moves from exploration to focus and application. Students begin by building shared skills and intellectual foundations, then shape their degree around an interdisciplinary major that guides advanced coursework, experiential learning, and the Senior Capstone. Graduates will leave the program prepared to adapt across fields, pursue diverse career paths, and continue on to graduate study.
What You Will Study
The BS in Arts and Sciences is built around four components:
Core Curriculum
All BS students complete a 12-course Core Curriculum that brings together the humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, quantitative reasoning, digital literacy, and civic learning—ensuring academic rigor, national compliance, and intellectual breadth before students move into focused study in their major.
Interdisciplinary Majors
Each major requires
73 credits within the discipline and provides structured, in-depth study across multiple fields. The majors emphasize analytical skills, methodological training, and subject-area knowledge.
Experiential Learning
Internships, D-Lab projects, field schools, and research experiences support applied and community-engaged learning.
Senior Capstone
In the final year, students complete a research thesis or an applied project under faculty supervision.
Your Four-Year Journey

Year 1 — Explore
Build foundational skills through the Core Curriculum. Engage with different disciplines and begin identifying areas of interest before selecting a major.

Life After Graduation
Graduates will pursue roles in public policy, development, environmental work, communications, education, research, and the cultural sector. The program’s emphasis on writing, inquiry, and interdisciplinary analysis also prepares students for competitive graduate programs in Pakistan and internationally.
