Dr. Sarah Nadeem 
Founding Director, CCBP 

Dr. Sarah Nadeem held the esteemed position of Director at CCBP and served as an Assistant Professor Endocrinologist at Aga Khan University Hospital. Her journey to expertise included completing her Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she also practiced before relocating to Pakistan in 2018. With a wealth of experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator, Dr. Nadeem is dedicated to making significant contributions in her field.​

Dr. Ainan Arshad

Associate Director, CCBP 


Dr. Ainan Arshad, an Assistant Professor of Medicine, earned his FCPS and MRCP qualifications from the UK. He furthered his academic journey by obtaining a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Aga Khan University. Renowned as an avid researcher and nurturing emerging talent, Dr. Arshad spearheads a mentor-mentee program for FCPS medicine trainees and serves as Secretary for the Karachi Chapter of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine. With over 40 research articles published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Arshad's academic interests encompass metabolic disorders, diabetes, and sepsis.​

Bushra Ayub 
Senior Research Assistant, CCBP 

Bushra, a gold medalist with a Master's degree in statistics, has consistently showcased her expertise by publishing her work in prestigious journals both nationally and internationally. Additionally, she has presented her research at globally recognized conferences. Currently, she serves as a Research Specialist at a leading tertiary care hospital, where she plays a crucial role in improving medical care.​

Salima Salim Aamdani 
Research Associate​, CCBP 

Salima graduated with a BScN from Aga Khan University in 2014 and pursued further studies, earning an MSc in Health Policy and Management from the same institution. During her career, she played a vital role as a member of the CCBP core team and made significant contributions to the development of GRADE guidelines. Additionally, she gained extensive experience in clinical research, particularly in the realms of cardiovascular disease and stroke research.​

Dr. Russell Seth Martins  

Research Consultant, CCBP 

Dr. Russell Seth Martins, a dedicated researcher and visionary, embarked on his journey into the world of science and technology with zeal. A graduate of the Aga Khan University MBBS class of 2021, he made notable contributions to the CCBP team by summarizing best-practice guidelines for publication and presentation, as well as preparing grant applications. Presently, Dr. Martins serves as a postdoctoral research fellow at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey, where he continues to pursue his passion for advancing medical knowledge and innovation.




Dr. Syeda Amrah Hashmi 
Research Consultant, CCBP 

Dr. Syeda Amrah Hashmi is a graduate of the Aga Khan University MBBS class of 2021. Following her internship, she joined the CCBP team, lending her expertise as a research consultant for various research papers. With a profound interest in neurology, she currently holds the position of postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Virginia. Dr. Hashmi aspires to further her career in neurology through residency training, driven by her passion for advancing knowledge and improving patient care.​
