Education

The Section of Pulmonary medicine plays an important role in teaching our internal medicine residents on the principles of basic respiratory medicine and its application to patients. Our section further enhances the University’s education objective by:

  • Organizing a pulmonary module for internal medicine residents focusing on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of various lung disorders

  • Supervision and teaching of residents in the outpatient clinics

  • Educating faculty and other providers on evidence-based pulmonary and respiratory medicine developments and guidelines.

  • Participation in local, national and international committees, conferences and events

  • Providing mentorship to internal medicine residents

  • Supervision or dissertations, case reports, abstract and other publications

  • Supervision and teaching of residents in the general medical wards

  • Educating faculty and other providers on evidence based mental health disorders

  • Participation in local, national and international committees, conferences and events
