​​​Communicating Science Effectively: PAT the RAT Method​

Aim

The aim of this workshop is to equip the participants with a simple and effective tool-box that can aid them in the preparation and delivery of oral presentations. This tool- box, abbreviated PAT the RAT can be applied across multiple oral presentation formats, such as large-class, pitch talk, chalk talk, as well as for communicating science over social media

Facilitator 

Dr. Ali Jawaid is a physician-scientist with training in both clinical and basic neuroscience. He completed his medical studies from Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan in 2007, and followed it up with clinical/research training in Neuropsychiatry from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, USA. He then proceeded to complete MD-PhD in Neuroscience from Switzerland (simultaneous PhD degrees awarded by UZH/ETH International Program in Neuroscience and UZH MD-PhD program). Dr. Jawaid has worked extensively in the fields of epigenetics and neuropsychiatric disorders. He has authored 70+ pubmed publications and many other recognition to his profile. 

Registration

The workshop is free of charge and a special feature of NHSRS conference. Registration however is mandatory. We will only accommodate first 50 participants who register.
