Greetings esteemed colleagues, participants, and guests,        

I am honored to extend a warm welcome to the distinguished gathering at the 9th Annual Surgical Conference, convened under the theme "Surgery in the Digital Era." As the Chair of this momentous event, it is my privilege to welcome faculty, trainees, students, researchers, and healthcare professionals joining us from every corner of the globe, both physically and virtually.

Building upon the legacy of our previous conferences, this year's focus on the transformative fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, 3D Printing, VR Technology, and the ethical considerations surrounding these innovations promises an intellectually enriching experience. We aim to create a platform for insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning that transcends disciplinary boundaries.

In keeping with tradition, we are delighted to announce our collaboration with the esteemed Journal of Pakistan Medical Association (JPMA). A special supplement, comprising carefully selected articles, has been curated for publication. The rigorous editorial review process, involving expert feedback, ensures the highest quality contributions aligning with our conference theme.

The conference also features a lineup of pre- and post-conference Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, integral to our commitment to professional development. This year, we proudly present seven CME activities, including five hands-on sessions. Notably, the 4th Fundamentals of Surgical Research Course, endorsed by the Association of Academic Surgery (AAS). I am delighted to announce that this course will be conducted in person.

All pre- and post-conference CME activities, along with our scientific sessions, hold accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), ensuring participants receive valuable CME Credit Hours.

I look forward to the collective exploration of the digital era's impact on surgery, facilitated by engaging discussions, informative talks, and the collaborative spirit that defines our annual conference. Together, let us chart new horizons in surgical excellence.
