Bo S. Lindblad
Professor Bo Lindblad is today the senior most Emeritus Professor of the Aga Khan University (AKU). He was awarded the Emeritus Professorship in 2006, and has the distinction of holding two Professor Emeriti positions, the other as Professor Emeritus in International Child Health at the Department of Public Health Sciences, Division of International Health, Karolinska Institutet (KI), Stockholm, Sweden (December 2000).
He served as Professor and Chairman of Paediatrics at AKU, Pakistan, from 1992 to 1998, and supervised research leading to PhD degrees and facilitated specialty training for paediatricians in collaboration with the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
He coordinated the Linnaeus-Palme Foundation Exchange Program for students and teachers from low-income countries at KI in collaboration with AKU. In 2004, he also became an evaluator for applications to the Linnaeus-Palme Foundation.
