Through a dynamic model of professional education, the two and a half-year Bachelor of Nursing Science (Post-RN) programme builds on the knowledge, skills and experience of nurses and provide senior registered nurses with an opportunity to​​ upgra​de their dip​​​​loma qualification to degree level. An innovative curricular approach enables nurses to earn a degree while working. ​

​Eligibility Criteria​​​​

Route A: EN-RN to BNS (Post-RN)

  • Form IV level of education with a minimum aggregate of Division III in the Ordinary Certificate of Education with a “Credit” grade i​​n the following mandatory subjects: English and Biology/Biological Sciences and a “Pass” grade in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
  • Certificate of Registration in General Nursing (RN) with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council​

Route B: RN to BNS (Post-RN)​                                ​​​

  • Form VI qualification with a Principal Pass in Biology / Biological Sciences in “A” Level
  • Certificate of Registration in General Nursing (RN) with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council

  • ​​At least two years of working experience as Registered Nurse
