Through a dynamic model of professional education, the two and a half-year Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme builds on the knowledge, skills and experience of nurses and provide senior registered nurses with an opportunity to upgrade their diploma qualification to degree level. An innovative curricular approach enables nurses to earn a degree while working.
Admissions have closed for 2024 cycle. The last date for submission of applications was April 19.
Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criteria applicable for 2024 admission cycle:
Route A: EN-RN to Post-RN BScN
- Form IV level of education with a minimum aggregate of Division III in the Ordinary
Certificate of Education with a “Credit” grade in the following mandatory subjects: English and Biology/Biological Sciences and a “Pass” grade in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
Certificate of Registration in General Nursing (RN) with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
At least two years of working experience as Registered Nurse.
Route B: RN to Post-RN BScN
Graduates of AKU’s Diploma in General Nursing (EN-RN conversion diploma) programme are encouraged to apply.
