Through a dynamic model of professional education, the two and a half-year Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme builds on the knowledge, skills and experience of nurses and provide senior registered nurses with an opportunity to​​ upgra​de their dip​​​​loma qualification to degree level. An innovative curricular approach enables nurses to earn a degree while working. ​

Admissions have closed for ​2024 cycle. The last date for submission of applications was April 19​​.

Eligibility Criteria​​

​Following is the eligibility criteria applicable for 2024 admission cycle:​​​​​

Route A: EN-RN to Post-RN BScN

  • Form IV level of education with a minimum aggregate of Division III in the Ordinary
  • Certificate of Education with a “Credit” grade in the following mandatory subjects: English and Biology/Biological Sciences and a “Pass” grade in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics

  • Certificate of Registration in General Nursing (RN) with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council

  • At least two years of working experience as Registered Nurse.

Route B: RN to Post-RN BScN                                 

  • Form VI qualification with a Principal Pass in Biology / Biological Sciences in “A” Level
  • Certificate of Registration in General Nursing (RN) with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council

  • ​​At least two years of working experience as Registered Nurse
