Vice President, Human Resources
The Vice President of Human Resources will provide strategic human resource leadership and development for Aga Khan University as it continues to grow geographically and programmatically. The key responsibilities of the VP, HR are to build and lead a cohesive human resource culture across the University's geographic sites, colleges, and programmes, provide proactive leadership and create an internationally harmonised environment through the development of best-practices policies and programmes in key areas like recruitment, retention, promotion, employee relations, benefits and compensation. The VP, HR is also responsible for organisational development and the creation of effective training programmes tied to the University's priorities, and will ensure that human resource strategies and initiatives are aligned with and support the strategic and operating objectives of AKU as it further expands and develops.
Ms Miglioranza brings over twenty years of experience gained in multi-industry and multi-cultural organizational environments. She has worked in the areas of strategy, change and transformation; HR operations; compensation and benefits; HRMS implementation; workforce planning & recruitment; capability, knowledge and competencies development, training and performance management.
Wasan's most recent appointment was as Director, Human Resources and Administration at Sky News Arabia, a pan-Arab television news broadcaster based in Abu Dhabi, where her primary role was to lead the human capability transformation strategy. Prior to this, she has worked in senior leadership positions in Human Resources in the UK, Spain, Qatar and Oman.
Wasan holds a Master of Human Resources Management, Metropolitan University, UK and a BA (Honours) in International Business Studies, Brunel University, UK. Additional professional qualifications include Membership in the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; she is a PRINCE2 Practitioner, Six Sigma Green Belt and Executive Coaching Certified.
