Serein Society​​

The Serein Society is a community focused on connecting students from diverse backgrounds through events that encourage creativity and relaxation. It offers a variety of activities, such as poetry, comedy, art, and movies, providing a space for students to unwind, make lasting memories, and form meaningful friendships. The society aims to create an inclusive environment where everyone can explore new passions and connect with others.​

Signature Movie Nights: The Serein Society's annual movie screenings showcase a diverse range of films, encouraging students to enjoy cinema and engage in discussions around the themes.

Sip and Art Series: An annual event where students explore different art forms while enjoying snacks, promoting creativity and community bonding.

Community Service Project: Each year, the Serein Society organizes a major community service project, encouraging students to give back and support local initiatives.

Valentine Specials: The Serein Society hosts annual Valentine-themed events, offering a platform for students to express creativity, share feelings, and foster connection.

Annual BBQ: The goal is to introduce an Annual BBQ/Food Festival to bring together students, faculty, and staff for a fun and community-building event centered around food and camaraderie.

Student Open Market: The aim is to launch a platform where students can showcase and sell their crafts, artwork, and homemade products, promoting entrepreneurship and community support.

Tembea Kenya Initiative: The initiative seeks to promote local tourism and cultural exchange, encouraging students to explore Kenya’s diverse landscapes and connect with local communities.

Cultural Day: The goal is to host a vibrant Cultural Day that celebrates the diverse cultures within the AKU community, featuring performances, traditional food, art displays, and activities to promote inclusivity and understanding.​
