Public Speaking Club (AKUPS)
The Aga Khan University Public Speaking Club (AKUPS), established in 2023, aims to develop students’ communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. The club operates through two branches: the Toastmasters Wing and the Debate Wing.
The Toastmasters Wing focuses on structured public speaking and leadership development, helping students build confidence through prepared speeches and evaluations. The Debate Wing sharpens skills in argumentation, persuasive speaking, and critical analysis through competitive debates and discussions on current issues.
Each wing has its own executive team, with Presidents and Vice Presidents from both forming a shared leadership body. Together, they organize events, workshops, and competitions that empower students to become articulate, thoughtful, and confident speakers.
