Girl Up AKU
Girl Up AKU is a student-led club at Aga Khan University committed to promoting gender equality, leadership development, and social advocacy. As part of the global Girl Up movement under the United Nations Foundation, the club empowers students to become active changemakers through education, awareness campaigns, community outreach, and policy engagement. Its work centers on key issues such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights, leadership training, and economic empowerment. Through initiatives like collaborative debates on medical ethics and campus-wide discussions, Girl Up AKU fosters a safe, inclusive space for students to challenge gender norms and drive meaningful social change.
