Introduction

Professor Mehtab Karim is a social demographer with interest in population and health and migration issues in South Asia and Muslim-majority countries. He has co-authored three books and has published over 60 research articles. He was a senior faculty member at Age Khan University, in the Department of Community Health Sciences for about 25 years, besides has held appointments at universities and research institutes in the USA and the UK.
