This conference aims to address the pressing educational need for comprehensive understanding and effective management strategies concerning non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health issues among adolescents in Pakistan. By bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, educators, and community stakeholders, the activity seeks to bridge the knowledge gap regarding the multifaceted challenges faced by adolescents and equip participants with evidence-based practices to improve adolescent health outcomes.

Event Objectives

  • Identify the prevalent risk factors contributing to the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among adolescents in Pakistan.
  • Discuss the interplay between lifestyle factors, including tobacco use, nutrition, physical inactivity, and air pollution, in shaping adolescent health outcomes.
  • Evaluate evidence-based strategies for the prevention and management of NCD risk factors specific to the adolescent age group.
  • Formulate comprehensive approaches to address mental health issues among adolescents, including early intervention and suicide prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop targeted interventions and policies aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of Pakistani adolescents.
