Lahore to Karachi: LUMS Delegation Visits AKU, Karachi

On 23rd February 2022, a team from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) visited the Aga Khan University, Karachi. The team consisted of Ms Faaria Salahuddin, Director of Placements, Suleman Dawood School of Business; Dr Syed Aun, Associate Dean, Academics, Suleman Dawood School of Business; and Dr Kashif Khan, Executive in Residence (Health Care), Suleman Dawood School of Business. During their visit, the team met with various AKU colleagues. The visit was hosted by the Associate Vice Provost, Global Engagement, Farzana Karim-Haji.

Over the course of the day, the delegation learnt more about AKU's Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS), CCIT's innovation hub, student mobility and placement opportunities, the hospital and opportunities for students and faculty, and the work of CIME.

LUMS is interested in AKU's International Internship Programme for their students and of special interest are internships at the hospital that students enrolled in the LUMS Health Care Management programme could apply to.

LUMS and AKU are both leading institutions in Pakistan, a partnership between both can be mutually beneficial.  Further discussions are planned for this year that will build on this initial visit.
