Andrew Tkach
Executive Producer, Giving Nature a Voice and Voices from the Roof of the World
Andrew Tkach has produced documentaries and TV magazine reports for more than 30 years, at CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC and Nat. Geo. often exploring how environmental issues impact local communities. In Gabon his Emmy winning 60 Minutes report “Garden of Eden," documented efforts to save lowland gorillas. Prior to creating GNV, Tkach taught broadcast journalism at the University of Indonesia, University of the South Pacific and the University of Central Asia supported by Fulbright grants. He is currently directing the Voices from the Roof of the World project examining the effects of climate change in the Pamir, Karakorum, Himalayan region.
Prof Lawrence Pintak
Dean, GSMC
Lawrence Pintak, PhD is the dean of the Graduate School of Media and Communications. He is an award-winning journalist and scholar who has reported from four continents, including 18 African countries and 15 Arab states. He was previously the founding dean of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University (2009-2016). Read more
