Introduction

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
  • conduct quality procedures in compliance with the standards of international practice and specific departmental protocols
  • work with the team to ensure proper material and supplies are available for testing, log equipment problems and keep all machines in proper working condition
  • assist in teaching of trainee technologists and junior staff
  • participate in in-service training and orientation of new staff
  • ensure that the prescribed safety, infection control, sedation and electrical safety standards are observed
  • maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients during the procedures as per need.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Bachelor's degree in Science
  • completed an approved Neurophysiology technologist training programme
  • preferably one year of related work experience and exposure in acute care hospital setting
  • experience of conducting Sleep studies, Intra Operative Monitoring and Long EEG Monitoring would be preferable
  • good planning and organizing skills
  • good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • ability to effectively work independently as well as in teams
  • willingness to work in three shifts including weekends and on-call duties.
