The study will have 3 phases; The formative phase will consist of four components were a cross-sectional study will be carried out to quantify the burden of mental health among adolescents in Kenya and Uganda. Phase 2 (design phase) of the study will be about designing a culturally appropriate and contextually relevant adolescent mental health intervention based on the results of the quantitative study, qualitative study, the scoping review and expert opinion (including CSOs).
