Responsibilities

The Research Assistants will work with principal investigators and support various studies with focus on the key thematic areas including: Population Health; Reproductive, Maternal; Newborn and Child Health; Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health; Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases; Nutrition; and Mental Health.

The appointee will be involved in; 
  • Screen and recruit study participants, 
  • Schedule clients for appointment and notify them in a timely manner
  • Obtain anthropometric measurements
  • Collect, compile, enter, clean, process and analyze data
  • Transcribe recorded audio interviews to word documents
  • File and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, Public Health, Psychology, Medical Psychology & Clinical Medicine from an accredited institution 
  • Valid registration by the relevant body
  • 1 year of continuous clinical experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing & speaking English and Kiswahili
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
