The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, international university committed to international standards of excellence, in teaching, research and service. The affiliated, Joint Commission International accredited, Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has highly equipped diagnostic services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.
The Department of Radiology comprises 27 internationally and locally trained faculty members. It offers services that cater to the needs of inpatients, outpatients and external referrals by providing the best possible and modern diagnostic facilities at the main campus and at Clifton Medical Services. The Department at the main campus offers 24/7 services for most of its diagnostic and interventional procedures. It caters to high clinical volumes leveraging state-of-the-art equipment (including PET CT, MRI, CT Scan etc.).
The Department has a structured residency program and fellowships in Interventional Radiology, Women Imaging and Neuro-Radiology. These programs induct Post Graduate Medical Education (PGME) trainees every year. Currently 27 PGME trainees are being trained across these programmes. The Department also runs an on-job training programme for radiographers. The faculty of Radiology are involved in these training programmes at all levels.
