Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Advisor, Office of the Vice President Human Resources.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role to work with the Vice President, Human Resources (VPHR) in strategically planning HR initiatives that will benefit the organization and encourage more efficient and beneficial work for employees. The work will include organizing and managing the work of the office, especially relating to writing strategic papers, updates, prepare reports and presentations for institution leadership review, conduct analysis on operational development. Keep update and overview of implementation of processes and strategy, project monitoring, reviews, and general office functions including communication and engagement of the office affairs. Result driven with the ability to work on multiple fronts with virtual teams in a multi cultured environment.

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • develop and focus on vision, strategy, partnerships and an implementation plan to harmonize HR policies globally
  • facilitate discussions, articulate and synthesize concepts, ideas and strategies emerging from drafts generating feedback and responses for further considerations
  • support the development and implementation of strategic project initiatives in close coordination with VPHR and undertake key responsibility to implement these initiatives globally to establish the necessary team cohesiveness across the boundaries
  • provide strategic oversight and direction to facilitate VPHR in preparing board reports, papers and presentation, where necessary, undertake the responsibility to prepare feasibility and project evaluation reports to gauge the progress and impact of the project
  • document and write reports for VPHR with a keen ability to determine specifications and standards for business reporting and maintaining data integrity
  • work collaboratively with global executive management, line managers, HR team, and other stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and innovation
  • support VPHR in coordinating with HR functional and regional leads in implementing a holistic people-oriented services, policies, and programs
  • devise HR project plan and ensure key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders
  • work with the HR Business Partners and project team to ensure the delivery of key project deliverables on time and within budget, resource and policy.

Requirements

You must have:

  • a minimum Bachelor's degree. MBA/MBBS or equivalent will be preferred
  • at least 8- 10 years of leadership and strategy experience in Human Resources experience. The role requires a strategic mind set and passion for converting complex problems into practical solutions
  • extra ordinary writing skills packed with strong strategy acumen
  • a credible presence, outstanding presentation skills, and strong ability to communicate with senior leaders
  • capacity for agile, flexible and creative intellectual analysis and problem solving
  • strong experience and ability in developing PowerPoint presentations and strategic reports/papers for senior management and board level
  • demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator, or participant
  • an analytical mind that can process data and creates matrix that are easy to use
  • the ability to multi task and build relationships at all levels.
