Research Associate, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (Temporary)

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

You will be responsible:

to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of sample recruitment & data collection activities
to collaborate & monitor and troubleshoot all recruitment field sites.
to visit fields for trouble shooting
to collaborate with study sites for patient samples
to monitor progress of research activities
to enter data
for data management and data analysis
for timely submission of technical and financial report
to assist in preparing manuscripts & abstracts for publication/presentation as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies
for any other duty or responsibility assigned by the Supervisor
for monitoring and troubleshooting all research site / field sites identified by PI
to apply skills and Job knowledge in area of specialization; molecular techniques, operations, tools, and analyzed data and generate technical report under supervision of PI
to coordinate and supervise all senior research assistant, technologist and field officers and participate in research study associated activities such as data management, data analyzed
to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures and responsible for technical and Financial report.

You should have:

a Masters in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Genetics/Microbiology or equivalent qualification in a related area
2-3 years of related work experience
laboratory bench experience of 3 or more years in handling nucleic acid based testing and preferably DNA sequencing
an ability to do literature search for project, to perform data analysis and to write
good observational and interviewing skills
strong communication and interpersonal skills
an ability to work independently.
