The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi in conjunction with the Aga Khan Health Service in Uganda invites applications for the following position to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

The Physician Manager will lead clinical governance and quality assurance for Uganda Outreach Centers, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. The role oversees medical staff recruitment, privileging, performance evaluation, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. Serving as the key liaison between Outreach clinics in Uganda and clinical departments in The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi. Physician Manager will foster coordination, communication, and continuous quality improvement across all outreach services.

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of Medical Officers and Specialists, ensure continuous in-service training and adherence to Quality and Patient Safety standards.

• Oversee and manage medical and clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices.

• Formulate clear, evidence-based clinical guidelines to guide medical staff in daily practice and improve patient outcome.

• Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, monitoring key performance indicators and implementing initiatives to optimise healthcare delivery.

• Facilitate regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions, departmental meetings, and Morbidity & Mortality reviews.
