Introduction

The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. The Aga Khan Hospital, Hyderabad  offers all medical services to the patients under one roof. It is a 78-bed hospital that provide quality care to mothers, newborn and children. The MCPS program at the Aga Khan Hospital, Hyderabad is accredited by College of Physicians and Surgeons  Pakistan. It is a 2-year structured program that provides the residents a holistic learning experience.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
  • provide high-quality, compassionate care to mothers, newborns, and children, including conducting thorough patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress under supervision
  • participate actively in hands-on training, clinical rounds, and skill-building sessions to develop and refine clinical competencies, performing procedures with increasing independence.
  • maintain accurate and timely patient records, adhering to documentation protocols and ensuring patient confidentiality and data integrity
  • collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, communicating clearly with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care
  • engage in continuous learning by attending required educational sessions, participating in self-assessments, and staying updated on advancements in pediatric and maternal healthcare
  • contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, assisting in data collection and analysis, and identifying opportunities to enhance patient outcomes and hospital practices.

Requirements

You should have:
  • MBBS from an institution recognised by PMDC
  • valid PMDC license
  • completed one-year house job including 3 months in paediatrics, additional experience in Paedaitrics and Child Heath will be given weightage in final selection
comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
