Department of Anaesthesiology is a patient centered comprehensive state-of-the-art anesthesia management facility. The main objective of the department is to develop first-class leading-edge anesthesia service.

Anaesthesia Technicians are highly qualified skilled professionals working in health care organizations. The Anaesthesia Technician’s Diploma program is designed to produce highly trained personnel, who can make a direct contribution to the improvement of health care through better anesthesia practices.

Responsibilities

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Trainee Anesthesia Technicians. This  two-year traineeship programme where you will be responsible to:

  • follow the guidelines recommended by the department of anaesthesiology
  • arrange all the necessary equipment’s and drugs required before and during anaesthesia procedure
  • assist the anaesthesiologist throughout the anaesthesia procedure
  • regular preparation and maintenance of the equipment.

Requirements

You should have:

  • an Intermediate Science (Pre-medical) from a recognized institute (candidates with recently completed intermediate shall be given preference)
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • an appetite for learning and the ability to work well in teams.
