Introduction

Aga Khan University (AKU) was chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university. Its Faculty of Health Sciences was planned with the support of Harvard University, McGill University and McMaster University, and presently includes a Medical College and a School of Nursing, which are located together with their principal teaching site, the Aga Khan University Hospital, on an 84-acre campus in Karachi, Pakistan.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • provide safe, competent, individualized long hour staying care at patient’s home (transport facility will be provided to reach patient's home)
  • conduct assessment of patient and perform the nursing care holistically such as feeding, bathing and administering medication etc
  • educate patients and family as required.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a diploma in Nursing from an accredited school; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN) would be preferred
  • at-least two years of work experience
  • a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • a Certification in BLS, Safe Medication Administration, I/V Cannulation and Aseptic Techniques will be provided free of cost before assigning patient
  • an availability for all shifts.
