Introduction

The Paediatric Cardiology Instructor will manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions related to Cardiology. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient facilities including general and cardiac intensive care are available for pre & post-surgical cardiac patients and general pediatric cardiology patients. Moreover, eco lab & Cardiac Cath lab provide diagnostic/therapeutic cardiac procedures to both ambulatory and inpatients.

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Instructor, Pediatric Cardiology. 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:
 
  • moving into a more supervisory role and expected to conduct work rounds with a team of residents and fellows, make independent decisions regarding patient care in consultation with faculty, and assist juniors while supporting the attending in teaching residents, interns, and medical students  
  • pre-rounding with residents on patients in the special care unit and intensive care unit  
  • performing all diagnostic procedures independently and under supervision
  • being involved in active research and presenting papers at national and international conferences  
  • undergoing training to report all diagnostic procedures with assistance and under the supervision of a cardiologist.

Requirements

You must have completed structured post-graduate training in Paediatrics from a reputable institution and possess FCPS Part II or an equivalent qualification. A valid PMDC license is also required. A minimum of three years of experience in Paediatric Cardiology is mandatory, including the completion of fellowship training.
