The multidisciplinary Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences based in the Aga Khan University, Medical College, Pakistan strives to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate education cutting across and integrating the disciplines of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Pharmacology. The Department is also committed to conducting impactful biomedical research on both communicable and non-communicable disorders, designed to improve the health and well-being of communities at large.

You will be responsible for:

• preparing and setting up all teaching laboratory sessions across programmatic levels 
• acting as a lab store co-Iin charge 
• assisting faculty in preparation of bench work research including supply of consumables and reagents 
• washing all glassware and plastic consumables before and after the teaching sessions and placing them in the appropriate storage areas
• keeping the inventory of the central store for consumables 
• preparation of distilled water and buffers under supervision for teaching sessions
• operating distillation plant, de-ionized plant , autoclaving machine and refilling of gas cylinders
• bringing animals from the Animal House for teaching/ research purposes
• receiving all the orders and directing them towards the concerned team
• delivering important documents to Purchase, Finance and other departments, as required.
• being on call, periodically, for any equipment breakdown after working hours in all BBS labs. 
• keeping a record of the temperature of all the freezers of BBS lab periodically 
• logging temperature/humidity levels of BBS labs
