The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of fulltime Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences in the discipline of Biochemistry.

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Active participation and contribution towards teaching of biochemistry to undergraduate medical (MBBS), MPhil, PhD and in other academic programs of the department and the institution, designing and development of innovative teaching methodologies and participation in educational administration, supervision and mentorship of MPhil and PhD students, development and conduct of multidisciplinary/collaborative research projects of translational value.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a minimum PhD in Biochemistry or related discipline/field; MBBS background will be preferred
  • two years of postdoctoral experience 
  • emonstrated high quality teaching capacity
  • a good record of grants, publications, presentation, and/or other forms of dissemination of research dwork.
