Reporting to the Director AKU-EB you will be responsible for development and documentation of User Specifications and Business Requirements, working closely with the Technical Lead and Project Manager IT, and participating actively in the Examination Processing System (EPS) software development life cycle. You will ensure that that the system developed meets the current and future Business Requirements of AKU-EB -Examination Cycle.
Specific responsibilities include:
- developing User Requirements in coordination with the relevant Heads of Department in AKU-EB ensuring that it meets the current and emerging needs related to enrollment, registration, examination paper printing, conducting exams, marking, compilation, certifications and reporting
- documenting business processes including the algorithm required for calculations, workflows for approval and controls
- developing functional specifications for reports, certificates, and graphs to be produced from the system
- securing formal sign-off on all specified business requirements from relevant heads of departments and director AKU-EB
- participating in system design meetings with technical lead to ensure that the system meets the specified business requirements
- participating in conversion and migration of legacy system data to newly developed system
- documenting user access privileges for all stakeholders of the system
- participating in System Integration Testing
- leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in coordination with heads of departments and ensuring that the system developed meets the specified requirements
- securing formal sign-off on the system from departmental heads
- developing change management plan, ensuring that the business processes are aligned to meet the new requirements incorporated in the system
- developing user manuals, training materials and conducting trainings for all stakeholders
- providing first-level of support to users post implementation
- liaising with technical lead to process Incident Reports, Special Request for data, functional changes required in the system and changes required in User access.
