Aga Khan University in collaboration with the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children invites applications for the position of Manager of Critical Care Nursing Specialization Program.

Responsibilities

The Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering educational programs and courses related to critical care nursing. This role involves a combination of classroom teaching, clinical instruction/ supervision, curriculum development, and ongoing professional development. Additionally, you will be responsible to:

  • develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops related to critical care nursing and competencies
  • provide hands-on clinical instruction and guidance to nursing students in critical care settings
  • collaborate with the department head and faculty members to design, implement, and update curriculum materials for critical care nursing programs
  • conduct assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and program effectiveness
  • ensure capacity building of junior instructors and clinical preceptors in critical care nursing
  • propose advancements in critical care nursing and integrate relevant updates into the curriculum
  • engage in research activities and contribute to scholarly publications in the field of critical care nursing
  • participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative duties as required
  • foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking
  • ensure the quality of the program including; monitoring the program and preparing for external assessments
  • maintain filing systems of the program; including preparing and producing reports.

Requirements

You should have:

  • master’s degree in nursing or a related field
  • valid nursing license and relevant certifications in critical care nursing
  • substantial experience in critical care nursing, with a minimum of two years of clinical practice
  • previous teaching or instructional experience in a healthcare education setting is preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning.
