Responsibilities

perform all works related to the safe and smooth operation & maintenance of the Power Plant equipment and off-campus buildings diesel & petrol generators. Maintain record of maintenance activities of all equipment. Assist Engineer to maintain inventory of assets and material related to power plant and outreach generators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • responsible for the effective & efficient maintenance of the off-site facilities diesel & petrol gensets of various capacities.
  • troubleshooting and rectification of electrical & controls fault of the gas & diesel gensets.
  • troubleshooting and rectification of ATS Panels at offsite locations.
  • troubleshooting and rectification of MV VCB Panels, ATS panels and LV switchgear. 
  • participate in the testing commissioning activities of the new gensets being installed within the hospital or offsite buildings.
  • assist in Purchasing of spare parts through petty cash under emergency conditions.
  • perform operational shift duties as & when required by the superiors.
  • perform work under the approved safety standards of Power Plant by using the appropriate safety equipment.
  • reporting all the hazards & abnormalities to his Superiors as and when noticed.
  • carry out any other job as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Education: 
DAE in Electrical/ B-Tech Electrical preferred from a Govt. recognized institute.
Government wireman license preferably supervisor License.
  • Experience: 
Should have practical experience of at least 5 years as an electrician in any large-scale industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: 
Sound Electrical knowledge of Gas, Diesel and Petrol Generators.
Sound knowledge of Electrical MV/LV switchgear, ATS panels & distribution systems.
Sound knowledge of power & control wiring diagrams.
Sound knowledge of computerized machine & maintenance software.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Regulatory Compliance: 
Understanding of safety, environmental, and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, NEPRA, ISO).
  • Competencies & Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and high-pressure situations.
