Introduction

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health operates ten community-based field sites across Pakistan, including four in Karachi, focusing on improving women’s and children’s health. The Department also houses Nutritional and Infectious Disease Research Laboratories to support its research projects. It has earned national and international recognition for its impactful work.

This is a contractual position. 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for: 

•  use of  Office Software ( MS Office) for preparing memos, letters, certificates and other typing      assignments
• maintain proper record of medicine, inventory of field sites, log books and on daily basis and verify bills with records on monthly basis
• liaison with stakeholders at community for the smooth functioning at work place
• assist in keeping record of all equipment and ensure their timely maintenance/calibration
• arrange training programs, workshops and conferences in the field sites
• handle logistical and administrative tasks for the project and it should be recorded on the register at that time of issuance and proper track of that equipment must be recorded in the register
• to maintain proper record of medicines, stationery, incentives and Generator on regular basis
• coordinate with maintenance department for repairs and maintenance of WCH
• any other task assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

You should have: 

• Intermediate
• 1 to 2 years of related experience 
• knowledge of administrative procedures in an organization
• good interpersonal and Communication (includes ability to converse in local languages) skills
• ability to handle logistical and administrative tasks (coordination with finance, administration, Electronic, NFSD and purchase)
• ability to document project activities
• good computer skills
• willing to travel to field sites
