​​Confidentiality Statement

All information collected by the counselor is confidential and will not be a part of the student’s academic records. There are some exceptions by law, (e.g., threat to your own life or someone else’s, or serious risk of vandalism). In case of a referral, the referring party is only informed whether a person has had a session or not and no other confidential information is shared. 

We uphold AKU’s commitment to maintain a campus culture that enables our students and trainees to thrive personally as well as professionally. In rare instances, when a particular environmental stressor adversely affecting their mental health is identified, it is forwarded to the relevant authorized personnel. However, personal information is never revealed and confidentiality of students/trainees is strictly maintained.
