Fighting common diseases through health education

Communicable diseases such as chicken pox and hepatitis are a common health risk in developing countries such as Pakistan. Such infectious diseases disproportionately affect the poor even though simple preventive measures can be very effective.

September 2017 saw Year 3 students from the School of Nursing and Midwifery come together to organise a Health Education Camp to educate people on how to protect themselves from ten common diseases.
