Located at Clifton behind Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, the facility is part of the Hospital's outreach programme which aims to provide easy and convenient access to patients residing in distant areas of the city. URGENT CARE SERVICES
- Urgent Care Services provide treatment for a condition that requires prompt attention but does not pose an immediate, serious health threat.
- Ear infections and sprained ankles are examples of conditions that Urgent Care staff can treat.
- Urgent Care Services caters to medical problems that are not an emergency but often need to be seen the same day.
- Patients with critical, serious or life-threatening illnesses/injuries will be transferred to the emergency department of AKUH at Stadium Road in a fully equipped ambulance staffed by a physician.
Timings: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
LABORATORY SPECIMEN COLLECTION UNIT
- All the specimens are transported to the main laboratory at AKUH according to the international standards for storage and transportation of pathological specimens.
Timings:
8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
8:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Sunday)
- For routine laboratory specimens, which are given before 10:00 AM, the reports can be collected on the same day after 7:30 PM.
PHARMACY
- Pharmacy services are operated under the supervision of graduate pharmacists who provide complete information related to drugs and their usage.
- All drugs are stored at a controlled temperature to maintain their validity and efficacy. Pharmacy services have the facility to prepare special drug formulations for patients if requested by their doctors.
Timings: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
RADIOLOGY
- Radiology services (general radiography, orthopentomogram (OPG) and ultrasound with colour doppler, small parts and endo-cavitory probes) are provided under the supervision of qualified Radiologists.
- In case of special procedures, such as MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine, our staff would provide assistance in taking appointments from AKUH’s main facility at Stadium Road.

- General Radiography: 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM (Monday to Saturday)
- OPG: 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM (Monday to Saturday)
