Remote Access to eResources

OpenAthens ​is our sign-in method for off-campus access to library resources. OpenAthens lets you log in with your AKU email and password, and stay logged into library resources longer. Use our library links to e-journals, ebooks, and databases so that you can be authenticated as a current student, faculty, or staff member. These links will take you first to a prompt to choose your login method.

In almost every case, you will log in by choosing "Sign in through Aga Khan University."

Sign in from Anywhere​:

If you come across a scholarly article while using Google, you can sign in for full-text access so long as the AKU Library subscribes to the journal or resource. Once you have found an article on a vendor site, the steps to sign in to OpenAthens are:​

  • Locate the sign in or login link.

  • Select OpenAthens as the method to sign in.

  • Search for "Aga Khan University" under Find Your Organization.

  • Choose how to sign in based on your institutional affiliation​
