​AKU's Global Engagement Office, in partnership with the World Association of Cooperative Education (WACE)​ and EdTech Practera​, is pleased to offer students a unique opportunity to expand their global professional network and gain real-world experience. 

The WACE Global Challenge connects multidisciplinary teams of students from around the world to work on sustainable impact industry projects for organizations globally. Selected students will work as consultants, conduct research, and provide recommendations to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals, increasing positive social, environmental, and economic impact.

​HOW IT WORKS

  • This 4-week virtual program sees you working in ​a multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural student team to solve a REAL-world challenge for an Industry Client, which could be a start-up, NGO (Non-Government Organization), or corporate organization.​​ ​
  • The next cohort will run from January 27th 2026, to February 21st 2026, and participants will be required to commit to 30 hours in total over the 4-week experience, which includes a mandatory virtual orientation session, cultural intelligence training and a client briefing in the first week with the remaining work completed virtually before a final reflection session and team presentations in the fourth week.
  • The application deadline is December 26th 2025.​

​WHAT WILL YOU DO?​

  • Analysis of your client’s purpose and its correlation to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Understand your client's project and conduct research to identify possible solutions, such as competitor analysis, identifying funding models, and implementing marketing tactics, as examples.
  • ​Based on the research findings, provide recommendations to your client aimed at improving their social or environmental impact.​
