Sherry Rehman served as Pakistan Ambassador to the United States from 2011 to​ 2013. Educated at Smith College and The University of Sussex​, she had a 20 year career in journalism, including 10 years as Editor-in-Chief at The Herald, Pakistan's leading newsmagazine. She is also the Senior Vice-President of the Pakistan Peoples Party and founding Chair and serving President of the Jinnah Institute.​​​
