Kamil Khan Mumtaz is a practicing architect, author, and pioneer in the movement for conservation of architectural heritage. He has been a leading influence in raising standards of architectural design in general and in the search for a contemporary, appropriate architecture for Pakistan responsive to climate, economy and materials yet rooted in the indigenous culture. He has been a practicing professional architect in Lahore.
