Derek S. Tsang

Dr Derek Tsang is a radiation oncologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical training at Queen’s University, followed by residency at the University of Toronto. He obtained fellowship training in paediatric radiation oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and has a Masters’ degree in clinical epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Tsang joined the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in 2017, where he is a member of the paediatric and adult central nervous system (CNS) tumour site groups. His research interests include evaluating re-irradiation for paediatric tumours and reducing the late effects of radiotherapy. His clinical practice includes paediatric oncology, adult neuro-oncology and stereotactic radiosurgery for benign neoplasms.
